USW Local 5000 has a dedicated hotline in place for emergency situations that require immediate assistance from Local Union Officials, such as when a member is facing possible termination or discharge and a Ship/Unit Chairman is not immediately available to assist; or in the event of a workplace accident or immediate threat to the health and safety of our members. When using this hotline, all phones will ring until the first Local Union Officer answers. Stay on the line until someone picks up the phone.
