Our contracts with Central Marine, Keylakes, and Interlakes have been concluded . We have proofread Central Marine and Keylakes contracts and they currently being circulated to get the proper signatures from the respective parties. Interlakes was proofread just last week and their were some issues that needed to be addressed. Those items were corrected and we have a meeting set up for the week of June 15th   to review changes and then move the agreement to get signed. Leasing III is still a problem with their pension plan and we are activley working on this issue. One of the reasons this has taken longer than usual is the inability to meet due  to the Coronavirus. A lot of people were working from home and the process just took longer that we all would have liked.  We have another contract negotiations this year with Sysco/Hilti and we are trying to figure the best way to meet since most companies and the union have limited traveling for most personnel. Speaking about the coronavirus it has been a hell of a year so far with the issues this virus has brought with it. The economy taking a huge hit plus over 100,000 people lost and over 2 million cases reported in the United States in  about 3 months.  We are obviously being impacted with layoffs and shutdowns happening all across our Union and the country. We are urging everyone to remain vigilant as  this fight we are in  is not over. Please continue to practice cleanliness wash your hands often sanatize as much as we can and continue to practice social distancing as much as possible. When you can wear masks to protect others and yourselves. We also temporarily appointed a new LU 5000 executive board in order to bring lu 5000 out of administrator ship.
